1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ninshoma, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
2. Use of Services
2.1 Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the EU)
- You must provide accurate registration information
- You're responsible for maintaining account security
2.2 Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Share your account credentials
- Attempt to hack or reverse engineer our systems
- Abuse, harass, or harm others through the service
- Upload malicious content or spam
- Violate intellectual property rights
3. Subscriptions and Payments
3.1 Free Tier
Our free tier includes limited daily usage:
- 1 custom AI lesson per day
- 5 AI conversation messages per day
- 3 pronunciation assessments per day
- 20 vocabulary words total
3.2 Auto-Renewable Subscription Tiers
Ninshoma offers two subscription tiers with auto-renewal:
Premium Subscription

- Weekly: 7 days - $4.99 USD per week
- Monthly: 1 month (30 days) - $14.99 USD per month
- Annual: 1 year (365 days) - $119.99 USD per year ($9.99/month equivalent, save 33%)

- 75 AI conversation messages per day
- 20 pronunciation assessments per day
- 200 vocabulary words total
- Progress tracking (streak, fluency score)
- Vocabulary spaced repetition system
- Detailed pronunciation feedback with tips
Pro Subscription

Duration and Pricing:
- Weekly: 7 days - $7.99 USD per week
- Monthly: 1 month (30 days) - $24.99 USD per month
- Annual: 1 year (365 days) - $199.99 USD per year ($16.66/month equivalent, save 33%)

- 25 custom AI lessons per day
- 160 AI conversation messages per day
- 50 pronunciation assessments per day
- 500 vocabulary words total
- Progress tracking (streak, fluency score)
- Vocabulary spaced repetition system
- Detailed pronunciation feedback with tips
- Priority support
3.3 Free Trial
Some subscriptions may include a 7-day free trial period:
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- You can cancel anytime during the trial without charge
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and you will be charged
- Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription
3.4 Automatic Renewal
- Payment: Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase
- Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Renewal Charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price you originally paid
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds for partial periods unless required by law
3.5 Managing Subscriptions
iOS Users: Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to Account Settings after purchase. Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device.
Android Users: Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Google Play Account. Go to Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions on your Android device.
3.6 Price Changes
We may change prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will apply to subsequent renewal periods. Existing subscribers will be notified of any price changes before they take effect.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Our Content
All content, features, and functionality of Ninshoma (including AI models, lessons, UI, and branding) are owned by Ninshoma and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
4.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create. By using Ninshoma, you grant us a license to use your content to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Train and refine our AI models
- Generate personalized learning experiences
Your conversation data is anonymized when used for AI training.
5. AI-Generated Content
Our AI tutors generate responses in real-time. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI responses may contain errors or inaccuracies
- Content is for educational purposes only
- We don't guarantee fluency or proficiency
- Use your judgment and verify critical information
6. Privacy and Data
Your privacy matters. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
7. Disclaimers
NINSHOMA IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We don't guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Specific learning outcomes
- Accuracy of AI-generated content
- Compatibility with all devices
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NINSHOMA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Ninshoma harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of others
10. Termination and Account Deletion
10.1 Account Deletion by You
You can delete your account at any time through the app settings (Settings > Account > Delete Account). When you delete your account:
- Your account and all personal data will be permanently deleted
- All learning progress, conversations, and vocabulary will be erased
- Active subscriptions will be canceled (no refunds for unused time)
- This action cannot be undone
The deletion process is immediate and permanent. We may retain certain data for legal or regulatory purposes as required by law.
10.2 Account Cancellation
If you wish to keep your account but cancel your subscription, you can do so through your device's app store settings. Your account and data will remain intact, but you will lose access to premium features when your subscription ends.
10.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Abuse our systems or other users
- Fail to pay for services
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California.
